By the summer of 1957 this train had become nameless and carried only a single rider coach on Union Pacific's system east of Green River, although I can speculate that it carried additional head-end equipment for mail and express shipment as well as passenger baggage from its more famous stablemates...most of the City streamliners only handled checked bags at major terminals, to keep from delaying them on their speedy schedules. However, west of Ogden Southern Pacific still referred to it with the proud name of the "Streamliner San Francisco Overland", and included a dome lounge in its consist to show off the crossing of the Sierra Nevada in the best possible way...the premier City of San Francisco, unfortunately, transited this supremely scenic section of the line in the middle of the night.
