One more timetable in the Union Pacific 1957 Summer Tours series, this time for the "C" deluxe California tour. After their one-night stopover at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Valley and sightseeing tour through the national park, the tour group returned to Fresno where their sleeping cars were awaiting their arrival at 10:00 p.m. It meant a slightly longer motor bus ride; unlike the San Joaquin Daylight used by the "BC" (Bargain California) tour group the Owl did not stop in closer Merced. As well, Merced may have lacked space and facilities to park sleepers overnight and attach them to a different train in the wee hours. The "C" group would arrive in Berkeley at seven and would have breakfast at the Hotel Claremont in the Berkeley Hills. After a motor bus crossing of the Bay Bridge and sightseeing tour of San Francisco, the group would overnight at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco with a morning of free time for exploration and shopping before their afternoon departure for Chicago in Pullman cars aboard the City of San Francisco.
