With this timetable I conclude the Union Pacific 1957 Summer Tours series. The southbound Morning Hiawatha was the final train that the "PNW" Pacific Northwest group took as an organized tour back to its origin station in Chicago. They would make the transfer from the Mountaineer in St. Paul at 6:30 Standard Time (but 7:30 local time; Minnesota observed Daylight Saving time) as the Mountaineer did not offer meal service for its morning arrival into the Twin Cities, while the Morning Hiawatha did offer dining car service for breakfast upon departure. As the "PNW" tour was a First Class (sleeping car only) tour, I presume that the group was seated in one of the first class parlor cars for the daytime run down the Mississippi to Chicago.
