This was the running mate of the East Coast Champion which served Tampa and St. Petersburg on the Gulf Coast of Florida. As mentioned on the other train's page, the term Tamiami refers to the heavyweight coach-and-Pullman train which the Champion supplanted on the A.C.L.'s time card.
