The Meteor was the Frisco's overnight service between St. Louis, Tulsa and Oklahoma City. While it had operated as a steam-hauled heavyweight since the early years of the 20th century, in mid-May of 1948 it had been upgraded with all-new streamlined equipment and Diesel power. I actually have that first timetable in my collection, but as it did not show details of through cars to the east I selected this timetable from December 1948 to give that additional information.
