Another timetable in the Union Pacific 1957 Summer Tours series. The Colorado Eagle was used by Union Pacific to shuttle vacationers in tour groups "YRG", "ZLV", and "RM" on the short trip from Colorado Springs to Denver, thanks to its convenient morning schedule between those cities.
Looking at the equipment list, I was taken aback by the note that the "Diner-Bar-Lounge" only operated during the summer months of June 15 to September 15. Was Missouri Pacific trying to drive away business by withdrawing food service on this overnight run during the off-season? As it turns out the answer is, "No", or at least "Not yet"...a "Diner-Lounge" appears in the equipment list in my next-closest sources before (May 1957) and after (April 1958) this timetable.
